CHS Grows Access to High Ethanol Blend Fuels
CHS continues to work to remove barriers for Cenex® branded retailers regarding E15 distribution and availability. In late 2020, CHS became an approved E15 manufacturer with the Environmental Protection Agency. This allows Cenex branded E15 to be sold at the terminal level.
We are excited to announce that Cenex branded E15 will be available through 10 Nustar terminals effective in early April.
CHS plans to offer E15 at the following Nustar terminals: Salina, Kansas; Concordia, Kansas; Geneva, Nebraska; North Platte, Nebraska; Yankton, South Dakota; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Wolsey, South Dakota; Milford, Iowa; Rock Rapids, Iowa; and Council Bluffs, Iowa. CHS has offered E15 through its McFarland, Wisconsin, terminal since January 2021.
When it comes to selling E15, please keep the following in mind:
- Any E15 sold at a Cenex retail site must be a Cenex branded product as required by your Branded Marketer Petroleum Agreement.
- E15 is now an approved grade of gas that counts toward the two-grade minimum requirement for all Cenex retail sites and must be labeled in accordance with the Cenex retail brand image standards.
- Any sites offering E15 or planning to offer E15 must be registered at CenexE15.com prior to selling the product at retail. Click here for more information.
CHS is committed to expanding access to renewable fuels, which play a role in our environment and contribute to the success of agriculture. If you have any questions, please contact your Cenex representative.
