RED Brand Standard Audit Coming to a Close

The Brand Standard Audit portion of the Retail Excellence Daily (RED) Site Assessment Program is scheduled to be completed by August 31, 2024.  These evaluations assist in identifying strengths and areas for improvement at each site — giving you the information you need to better position yourself against the competition.

The Brand Standard Audit passing threshold is 90%. Lighting Audit scores (as applicable) are factored into the overall score of the Brand Standard Audit, which means you must pass the Lighting Audit in order to pass the Brand Standard Audit. Cures can be submitted to earn points back for incorrect elements for both the Lighting Audit and Brand Standard Audit until September 30. Please note, all Lighting Audit failures must be remediated on the Lighting Audit scorecard within the RED Site Assessment Portal.

During Cure review, photos will be analyzed to determine if standards are met, and points can be returned. It is important to note all brand standard infraction(s) must be remedied.

Scores below 90% after September 30 will result in enforcement of contractual rights to ensure compliance with Cenex Retail Image Brand Standards. Enforcement may include, but is not limited to:

  • $250.00 fee for first score below 90%
  • $500.00 fee for two or more consecutive scores below 90%
  • Termination of the Branded Petroleum Marketers Agreement (BPMA)
