Pump Authorization Limit Increase – EMV Debit Transactions
Pump authorization limits are a security measure to protect consumers and merchants. Limits prevent a customer from fueling over a preset amount within a single pay-at-pump transaction.
To ensure customers receive consistent experiences whether they choose credit or debit on the same card, CHS Payment Solutions has made the decision to increase pump authorization limits for EMV debit cards from $100 to $175. This change was effective September 25.
