Hometown Throwdown Voting Almost Over

Hometown Throwdown is a social media competition driven by consumers that highlights local festivals found within our Cenex® community. This past fall, consumers nominated over 500 festivals to help us find the best fest. Now it’s time for you to motivate your community to vote for the best fest to win the $100K grand prize!

After reviewing over 200 unique festival submissions across 22 states this past fall, the results are in! The top 3 finalists are:

Roseau, Minnesota, Fall Harvest Festival
Norborne, Missouri, Soybean Festival
Hayward, Wisconsin, Musky Festival

Until May 15, consumers can vote for their favorite festival at CenexHometownThrowdown.com. The grand prize winner will be revealed on May 24, 2024, and will receive $100,000 towards their festival. The remaining two festival finalists will each receive $25,000.

Get involved by motivating community members to vote for the best fest by proudly displaying Hometown Throwdown marketing materials in-store. Point-of-purchase display materials to promote the program were shipped to all Cenex branded convenience stores this past fall. Here is a quick reminder of what the Phase 2 materials look like:

Phase 2 Timeline

  • Display materials from April 15 – May 15, 2024
  • Remove materials on May 16, 2024
