Cenex Shop shipping rates reduced
Over the past several months, we’ve heard valuable feedback from many of our customers regarding the high cost of shipping on Cenex Shop. With this feedback in mind, we have worked with our vendor to secure reduced shipping rates with FedEx and UPS.
Why shipping costs can be high
Shipping costs are influenced by several factors, many of which are outside of a retailer’s control. These can include:
- Carrier rate increases driven by fuel costs, labor, and transportation demand
- Package size and weight, especially for bulky or heavy items
- Delivery distance and zones, which affect how far a package must travel and if it is considered a rural delivery
In recent years, shipping carrier fees have increased greatly and can quickly add up to an amount that feels disproportionate to the item being shipped. We understand how frustrating this can be and will continue to work closely with our vendor to identify opportunities to reduce shipping costs when possible.
